PHASE #1
In 2005, Kyle MacDonald proved that just people believing in an idea can bring about what seems impossible. He traded a paperclip for a house by doing a series of trades where each object that he traded for had a value a little bit higher than the one he had.
In Phase #1 of the Unity Experiment, I have started with a couple simple items (donated by volunteers) with the goal of trading them bit by bit for the final trade of at least 50 acres of land near Kelowna, BC. With this land, we plan to build a refuge for women fleeing domestic abuse. We are calling this refuge Shamar House. 100% of aquisitions from this project go to Shamar House.
At Shamar House, women will receive specialized therapy and counsel, connect with nature, and have a safe place to rest and recover. We want Shamar House to be self-sufficient and operate as a business so we can offer jobs for any women who will need employment. One of the most powerful ways of healing is helping others heal, so we also envision this place being a refuge for animals, where women can help other living beings learn how to trust again.
I have been working closely with counselors and women who’ve experienced domestic abuse, and I am determined to see these women released from the suffering they’re going through in a way that will not only transform their own lives, but also lives of their children and the lives of whoever they share hope with down the road.

The scriptural analogy of "planting a seed" has been so often abused by ministries who demand money in return for blessings or deliverance. What if we showed the world what true seed planting looks like?
Our children are the hope of the future. One way we build the Kingdom of God is by faithfully nurturing, protecting, encouraging, and training the next generation. Every child begins like a tiny seed — full of incredible potential, yet so dependent on loving support. Seeds need good soil, water, sunlight, and patient training in order to grow into strong plants. So many children are suffering from chaos or division in their homes, neglect, abuse, and loneliness. They need to have their voices heard, their needs met, and their futures given hope.
In Phase #2 of the Unity Experiment, we'll embark on the journey of how literal seeds can be used to help serve and encourage the children who are suffering.

I am currently developing a motivational app that will have low monthly subscriptions for its users as a way to contribute to every Shamar House that is built. The reveal will come after Phase #1 and #2 are complete! Stay tuned!
